Abstract black stained organic sculpture. Part of studio collection of Roland LAVIANNE (1948-2022). More than 20 original wood and stone sculptures. This collection was acquired in collaboration with 'Igmar Stuer ancient objects' (Aalst - Belgium) and PSCH Antiques(Paul Bert market, Paris Saint-Ouen) Simplifying the features in the extreme, Roland LAVIANNE develops a powerful play on volumes, shapes and lines, using the light as a key construction material. Roland LAVIANNE conveying a real mastery of the balance of volumes and lines of force. The figures, immobile but dynamic, seems lost in a theatrical conversation suspended for ever.
