A rare pair of xxl French antique books, named 'Le moniteur universel', originally Gazette nationale or Le Moniteur universel, founded in 1789 by Charles-Joseph Panckoucke in Paris, was the main French official newspaper during much of the Revolution, the Consulate and the Empire, publishing parliamentary debates, government acts and official notices.
These books are very decorative.
